Michelle Rainey is a Canadian Marijuana activist, member of the BC Marijuana party and a Chrohn’s disease sufferer. Born on June 14, 1971in Westminster, British Columbia, Michelle became personally involved with cannabis as a treatment for her Chrohn's disease.

Michelle was working as a teller at the Royal Bank when she first metBC Marijuana Party founderMarc Emery.

When Emery launched the BC Marijuana Party in early 2001, Michelle was named the Deputy Financial Agent and Campaign co-chair. Matthew Johnson would serve as the Campaign Manager.

In 2005 Marc Emery was charged with "'Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana", "Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana Seeds" and "Conspiracy to Engage in Money Laundering". Even though all the alleged offenses occurred in Canada, Canadian police did not lay any charges. Michelle, Gregory Keith Williams, 50, of Vancouver were charged as co-defendants.

Emery was ultimately sentenced to 5 years in a U.S. while Michelle and Gregory Williams would be sentencedd to 2 years probation.
